Session 8: Skinweaver
As told by Helios Winston
- We take the south east passage out of the webbed room.
- We end up in a dark room that is littered with hanging strips of flesh
- B’atz is sniffing Tadg’s butt and they are circle sniffing
- Utztec starts carving a path through the strips for us
- Utztec asks if we can hear that, and I said no. As I do, a voice speaks out “I can hear you”
- Combat Begins! as a Giant tuxedo spider attacks us
- We take care of the skinweaver and the Giant Spider and continue to look for the raven box
- We did not find the box in the skinweaver room.
- We left out through a different tunnel to the north than we came in
- In this room, there are cauldrons spread around the room and flays of skin.
- The flayed body of a tiefling was in the middle of the room
- In the tiefling’s pouch, Utztec finds a box with a raven design.
- B’atz pulls the tiefling down to reveal a potion of growth that Utztec lets B’atz keeps.
- With the box in tow, we backtrack back out of the cave
- The temperature is lower outside. We can still see the wagon back out in the distance at the end of the gully.
- We take the wagon back to the encampment. The drive was in great spirits as he made a large amount of gold by betting on us. He kindly gives me a bottle of purple crush wine. Which I drank, under my blanket.
- We get invited back to Madam Eva’s tent when we got back
- I am a bit foggy on what has happened after that, as I had finished off the entire bottle of wine on the way back.
- Madam Eva pulls out cards on the table. The first card flipped is the Enchanter number 3. The smoke arises from the bowl. She sees a kneeling woman, a rose plucked to0 soon, the master of the marsh knows of whom I speak.
- The second card Elemental 5 of stars. The treasure is hidden in a castle hidden in the mountain hidden by Amber Giants
- The wizard. look for a wizard tower on a lake, let the wizard servant guide you to what you seek
- The beast. A werewolf holds a secret hatred for your enemy, use her hatred to your advantage
- The executioner. I see a dark figure on a balcony looking down on this tortured land with a twisted smile. (Where we would always find the count)
- We find Ziven, Ireena, and Ismark outside. We ask them if there are any marshes around and what Madam Eva has told us.
- They tell us our best bet is to continue to Vellaki at first light and find The Blue Water Inn, run by the Martekoff family to talk to the innkeeper there.
